Meditation and Sound Bath @ Peninsula Family YMCA

A sound bath is a meditative experience where participants are immersed in sound waves produced by instruments like singing bowls, gongs and chimes. The goal is to promote deep relaxation, stress reduction, and mental clarity through the therapeutic use of sound and vibration.

Key Elements of a Sound Bath:

Passive experience: The event starts with some gentle movement and stretching to prepare you for stillness. During the sound bath, there is no need to do anything except listen and relax.

Vibrational healing: Sounds and vibrations interact with your body, mind, and heart.

Mindfulness/meditation: Often used alongside breathwork or guided meditation.

This deeply relaxing class aims to greatly improve flexibility. Suitable for beginners, older adults, returning exercisers, and post rehabilitation. Bring your own yoga mat.

Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Mentorship

20-Hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Mentorship Program

For yoga teachers who believe healing happens beyond the studio.

Bridge the gap between your 200-hour training and confidently teaching in clinical and community settings.

You became a yoga teacher because you believe yoga has the power to transform lives, not just bodies.

This mentorship is designed for teachers who feel called to bring yoga beyond the studio and into places where it can make a meaningful difference, including mental health programs, eating disorder recovery, hospitals, community organizations, residential treatment, and other clinical settings.

✅Teach trauma-informed yoga with confidence in clinical and community settings.

✅Adapt one class for students with different physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.

✅Create spaces that foster choice, safety, and belonging.

✅Use accessible, inclusive language that empowers rather than directs.
