What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for reducing stress, relaxing, and promoting healing. “Rei” refers to universal spiritual wisdom and “Ki” refers to life force energy. When a person has low life force energy, they are more susceptible to sickness or stress. A practitioner administers Reiki by laying hands on a person (both hands-on and hands-off options are available) and channeling energy to them. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit. It creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well being

What is somatic sound healing?

Sound Healing combines different healing sounds, music, and sound healing instruments to improve our well-being. These sounds come together to create a beautiful and awakening experience in the body, mind, soul, and spirit. Sound Healing is highly effective at triggering our relaxation response, which counters the many symptoms caused by chronic stress, while helping to balance our whole being. Somatic sound healing incorporates physical sensation to enhance sound healing experience and involves playing singing bowls on or near the body.

What is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative yoga is a mindful practice that prioritizes slowness, quietness, and stillness to encourage release and rest. This practice activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which signals the body to relax, process, and regenerate. Props are used to support your body in a comfortable and effortless pose for an extended time to encourage the body to release. When the body can release, the mind follows suit and sends neurological messages to signal recovery activities to start. This powerful practice releases body tension and encourages deep rest.
